A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to invalid email addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Setting up a catch-all email mailbox will be really easy in case you have a Linux cloud package with our company. You can enable this feature through our advanced, yet simple-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is an integral part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will manage the hosting account itself. You will see all the email addresses that you have created shown alphabetically and next to each one there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously let you know whether a specific mailbox receives all the messages for a certain domain name or not. With one single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature whenever you want. In case there is activated email forwarding or in case some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a specific domain, you’ll receive a warning message from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your permission.
